Workshop Fabrication Why Use Us?

our team

Kent Bullock, Director
When Kent built his own farm shed 12 years ago, he never expected that to be the catalyst for starting his own steel fabrication business. But after receiving a number of requests to build others, he decided a business opportunity was there to be taken. The business also offered a good diversity with the farming operation, run with wife Michelle since 1981, and so the Ruralfab business slowly grew. As Director of the business, Kent oversees the planning and reviews the manufacturing activities to optimise resource use, minimise costs and maintain quality standards. Kent also ensures all quality control procedures are adhered to and plans details of the production activity and labour requirements in order to meet our clients requirements.
Braden Bullock, Operations Manager
After working as an engineer for a number of years, Braden was keen to get involved in a management role. When a position became available in the family business he was ready for the challenge and happy to assist. As Operations Manager, Braden identifies business opportunities and prepares proposals for clients. Liaising directly with clients, Braden facilitates the successful outcome of projects. He enjoys working in this competitive industry where the growing success of the business is a reminder of the high-quality results being acheived for clients.
Chris Smythe - Business Development Manager
Chris joined the Ruralfab team to further his career in the construction industry. He has completed a Bachelor of Commerce and is looking forward to using his business knowledge at Ruralfab. Chris is always looking for new challenges and believes that honesty and integrity are the two most important components of any business. Chris brings with him a wealth of sales and marketing experience and is committed to ensuring the growth of the company through the development of new and existing relationships within the construction industry. Chris has a positive attitude and is always willing to 'go the extra mile' to ensure that clients needs are met and if possible exceeded.
Michelle Bullock, Administration
Michelle is kept pretty busy in her role with Ruralfab. She has always been involved in administration and book-keeping, and is now enjoying this role within the family business. With Michelle’s experience in administration and Kent preferring the more hands-on side of the business, they have a good partnership for the business. Michelle enjoys the benefits of her work and also by being a family business knowing the control of destiny is in her own hands. Together, Michelle with husband Kent have brought the company a long way since starting the business in 1996 and there’s still a distinct family character about the place, and that’s how they intend to keep it.
